Security Secure by Design Glass
Enhance the security of your ground-floor windows and doors with upgrades to Secure by Design (SBD) standards. We offer external glass units with laminated glass on the outside and Energy-Efficient glass on the inside. Additionally, Argon gas fills the space between the panes to improve U-values. Clips fitted into the frame prevent the glass unit from being removed during a security breach.
Soundproof Glass
For soundproofing, our Pilkington Optiphon™ glass is an excellent choice. Designed to reduce noise from roads, railways, and air traffic, this laminated glass includes a special Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) interlayer. We recommend using 6.8mm laminated glass, which consists of two layers of 3mm glass with a 0.8mm PVB layer. This setup effectively reduces noise without compromising light transmittance or impact performance.
Thermal Efficiency and Noise Reduction

Paired with ISO-BLOCO HYBRATEC Energy-Efficient Insulation Tape, which is 100% waterproof and offers improved U-values, our windows can significantly enhance thermal efficiency. Pilkington Textured Range
Our Pilkington Obscure Glass offers 21 unique textured designs, from traditional patterns like Arctic and Stippolyte to contemporary options like Tribal and Cassini. Available in toughened or laminated versions, these designs balance light filtration and privacy, with obscuration levels ranging from 1 to 5.
Pilkington Oriel Range
The Oriel Collection features etched glass designs that provide excellent light transmission while offering varying degrees of privacy. These modern designs have a smooth, matte finish, making them both attractive and functional.
Stained Glass Overlay (SGO)
Our Stained Glass Overlay (SGO) replicates traditional lead designs using self-adhesive lead in various widths and finishes. We offer custom designs and colours, which are sealed inside the double-glazed unit for a lasting, authentic look.
Bevel Designs
Modern techniques have improved the manufacturing of bevels, making them more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Available in colours like bronze, blue, and green, bevels can be combined with coloured film overlay and lead tape for various design options.
Standard Window and Door Units
Our standard units come with 4mm glass, either annealed or toughened, depending on the location. We use energy-efficient Low-E glass, like Pilkington K Glass™ or Pilkington Optitherm™, to prevent heat loss. These units improve thermal insulation by over 50% and feature a 28mm double-glazed setup with a warm-edge spacer bar to enhance thermal efficiency.
Warm-Edge Spacer Bar
Warm-edge spacer bars significantly reduce heat loss at the window’s edge. They come in three colours and various sizes to accommodate different glass thicknesses, providing both environmental and cost benefits.
Double-Seal
Our Thermobar tube, with a specially designed non-metallic tape, creates a moisture- and gas-resistant barrier. This design ensures lower psi values in uPVC window frames, contributing to overall energy efficiency.
Toughened Glass Units
All glass below 800mm from the internal floor must be laminated or toughened for safety. Our 6mm toughened glass option offers enhanced security, thermal insulation, and sound reduction.
Equal Sight Lines
Equal sightlines or dummy vents replicate the aesthetic of traditional wood windows with false vents. These elements blend functionality with style, ensuring a consistent and secure appearance.
Leaded Designs
We can replicate various lead designs, including square, rectangular, diamond, and Queen Anne styles. Provide a picture of your desired design, and we will work to recreate it.
