Ensure designs are viewed from the outside, with width first, followed by height. Include all sizes, add-ons, and external cills if needed. Highlight toughened glass requirements with a capital T if the window is below 800mm from the internal floor height.
Building Regulations Compliance.
- Approved Document F – Ventilation (updated 15th June 2022): All habitable rooms must have trickle vents. Indicate if this should be in the head of the frame or opening sash.
- Energy-rated requirements include A++ triple glazing, A+ double glazing, and B minimum.
- Fire Escape: All bedrooms require a means of fire escape and must be designed accordingly.
